Gbolahan Olaogun
Hi, I’m Gbolahan Olaogun, and I’ve been a personal trainer for over 10 years. My journey began with a deep passion for human movement and performance, which led me to graduate from Penn State University in 2014 with a degree in Kinesiology, focusing on movement science. I’ve been fortunate to spend the past decade working at One on One Fitness, one of the pioneers in the personal training industry with over 40 years of history. My time there was nothing short of transformative.
Unlike most trainers who start out with a certification and are left to navigate the complexities of the industry alone, I was mentored by seasoned veterans through a rigorous, comprehensive training program. This wasn’t just an introduction; it was a “Personal Trainer University” that taught me the art, science, and skill of personal training. I didn’t just learn how to train clients—I learned how to care for them, how to connect with them, and how to truly make a difference in their lives.
During my tenure at One on One, I wore many hats. I served as a Senior Personal Trainer, led continuing education initiatives as the Quality Control Leader, coordinated small group training sessions, and managed a full client workbook of over 50 clients. I had the privilege of consulting and training 18-25 clients daily, helping them achieve their fitness goals through personalized, effective programs. These experiences shaped me into a well-rounded coach who understands not just the science of movement, but also the art of motivation and connection.
But what truly sets me apart is my level of care and joy. I grew up at the Milton Hershey School, a boarding school that surrounded me with love, structure, and a community of people from all walks of life. It was there that I learned the importance of empathy, connection, and resilience. These lessons have profoundly impacted my approach to training. I don’t just see my clients as athletes or fitness enthusiasts—I see them as people with unique stories, challenges, and dreams.
As a lifelong athlete and coach, I am deeply passionate about making a difference and giving back. I believe that movement is more than just exercise; it’s a pathway to empowerment, joy, and a better quality of life.
I am excited to bring my experience, passion, and unique perspective to Charlotte, North Carolina. Whether you’re looking to get stronger, move better, or simply feel more confident, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
Let’s get to work—together.
